True and let´s also not forget his huge impact on Sci-Fi cinema

Hmm, besides Dune, I'm thinking The 5th Element, Tron, and maybe Blade Runner?

Pretty sure I'm mixing stuff up, tho..

While I see that x10,000 with google links, I don't recall I've ever seen it for YT videos.

As a google user, what... what am I doing wrong? 😕

Oof, the more I understand what went on in the books, the more I feel like an idiot. So I've made a few more corrections to the article, and added a further analysis in "EDIT2."

Thanks again for setting me on the right course. 😬

Hey! I've edited in a link in response to your comment about Moebius. See above, please.

Frankly, I love looking through BD-themed blogs, and as is sometimes the case, I found something I liked in one and decided to expand upon it.

In this case I tracked down the full story with much better-quality art, then did a little more research. The blog page I'm talking about can be seen here.

Good to have you back, ~~Valmond~~ Loulou! 😃

It seems to me I checked your Moebius sub a couple times in that timeframe (while it was down), and it still looked 'up' to me, just with no new content.

But I guess what I was seeing was a locally-preserved echo of that community, which is in fact a major feature of the Fediverse, no?

despite the propaganda

Yeah, what propaganda might that be..?

Haha, fair enough. But for one, I can only report on the reprinted stories I read, which were probably on the tamer side.

Another aspect is that "semi-erotic" in actual graphical depiction is really the most extreme I found it, sexually (edit), so I leave it to readers like you to point out the tawdrier conceptual aspects. I did find the lead frequently objectified though, which somehow was worse than the base graphical aspects, if that makes sense.

And as I've already pointed out, I do find there's more to the stories than just the erotic stuff, such as the reader (through Druuna) being led along twisting, dreamlike paths, questioning what's real and what's not. Anyway, I'll link to the WP article above, which pulls no punches from what I can tell.

If I am not mistaken book 4 introduced no-rooms and book 5 introduced no-ships.

Ah, that probably explains it, then.

Ah, I'd forgotten about this strip!

Is there context to help explain what's going on, exactly?

Hmm, I read the first three Frank Herbert books, but I'm not sure I remember those.

Were these something Jodo added in?
