I love the insect-aspects of this (presumably) flying entity.

I could see a swarm of them attacking some much larger enemy.

"Great snakes!"

At least, that's what he might have said in the English editions. XD

Holy hell, that is sensational.

If there was one little area I wish Moeby had explored, it would be abstract art. And... shut my mouth and spank my bottom. oO

It doesnt look too bad:

Oh rabbits, I would have loved to have had proper equipment like that.

Unfortunately all I had to work with was a little hobbyist kit, and the stencils were just floppy wax paper, essentially. Still, if I had more experience, I think I could have built some kind of framing device to keep everything lined up properly, plus used heavy material for the stencils.

Funny, I've done some screen-printing for a work project, but until now wasn't aware of the word "serigraph," nor what it meant.

Anyway, it was kind of fun, but getting things all lined up properly could also be a bit of a nightmare.

NSWF for the prudes

Hi, did you mean the visual art, the history, or...?

Side note: we have 250+ posts here recounting a good bit of it, if that helps.

I love how this could be completely farcical in nature or at the same time completely legit, i.e. meditating on a cactus. Or could it be something else entirely, as I note the various supplies around him?

Btw, I've gone through a lot of Moebius art lately, and I have to kind of scold myself for not previously recognising just how masterful he was across various levels. Sort of like a panel of dials and levers that represented things like creativity, setting, color vs B&W, detail level and overall message or non-message, he could play with those settings however he fancied... and produce masterpieces no matter what.

Damn, thank you so much, professeur Nacktmull!
TBH, I've never really delved in to roots reggae, so this is a nice little opportunity for me to learn about something I already loved.

Satta Massa Gana is Amharic (an Ethiopian-Semitic language)

Just free-associating here, but I recall the early Christian bible being written in... Aramaic? Could "Amharic" be an offshoot of sorts?

Anyway, I'll get listening to the Satta Massa Gana und Heart of the Congos albums, tout de suite! <3

I think the other reply might be onto something with it being NSFW.

Good point. So then, I've taken out "[NSFW]" from the title, and officially marked the post "NSFW" at the post-level, which blurs out the gal's image and gives it a sort of 'red-stamp.'

(EDIT: Nah, reversed course on that. It's really not necessary IMO. If people want to be pissy and offended over trifles like that, then let them...)

Altho at this point?
I'm not quite sure what the difference is between helpless kittens crying out for milk and your average American cock-robin.

Perhaps that, and a bit of weirdo, religious anti-gay+ stuff?

Since this sub is Euro-themed, I carelessly thought that I'd be on firm ground with the first song, hence why I lost my cool upon the downvotes. Oh well.

That said, we can certainly make this sub all-music, all gay-themed if it helps the downvoters out.

Oh gosh, those are such great songs. <3

Altho I'll be honest-- I didn't really catch their meanings very well, but it's pure love over the music right here.

Haha, that reggae-Ren mashup was pretty genius in... song two, I think it was.

Reggae / soca / calypso is some happy music for me. =)
