Could be such perspective that the fourth is hidden behind.

Yup that is exactly what i already did (with no-ip instead of duck dns but the same service), but as i said, the fact that it's dynamic is not the problem. It's the fact that even my dynamic ip address is not actually truly public. At least that is how i understand CGNAT.

I tried Wireguard now, and it worked beautifully (love its simplicity), than I setup port forwarding, and a no-ip ddns, and it stops working. Because, as it turns out, I dont have a public ip address. My isp runs a CGNAT, therefore i dont think there is any way for me to run a wg at home without some external server to hop from. I guess tailscale does exactly that eith thair connecting server, if i understand it correctly?

Thanks for the recommendations, will look into wireguard first

I run a Nextcloud instance on my home server and want secure remote access without exposing ports. I came across Twingate, which looks like a VPN alternative.

Has anyone used it for personal setups? Is it overkill compared to something simpler like Tailscale? I’d like to know how you use it, or what else you use.

This was a publicity stunt, fbi than paid nso to give them a zero day exploit to bypass the ios password. No software is bug free.

Such a disaster in the making. Massive habitat loss, pollution, and ecosystem collapse. All for a resource that should have been phased out long ago. We have seen this pattern play out in many places, and the consequences are clear.

Please add a section about nature! Global warming, deforestation, and other human effects on nature.

Oh yeah, that is true. Mini PC has a proper ssd nvme.

Thanks for the feedback! Will look at the NAS you recommend, but i thik i want more freedom to tinker. Will definitely look into proxmox!

Thanks for the feedback! And yes, used mini pc can be found cheaper than rpi5, also comes with a proper cooling and housing, which would be extra for rpi.

Thanks for the feedback! Had similar problems with a raspberry pi. It cannot deliver enough power to the hdd, so it kept rebooting the drive.

NAS, perhaps apps like vaultwarden, nextcloud, immich, maybe grafana for sensors... I am not 100% sure as this would be the first.

Would you recommend to use a RPi 5 or a second hand Lenovo mini pc (i3 6100t, 8gb ram) or something else?
