I live in Ireland where the NCT (state inspection equivalent) is so fucking stringent that people talk to me about my car all the time and its just over 20 years old. cars get NCT'd off the road here all the time, and you cant sell it here without the NCT. Once it finally fails, someone who knows what they're looking at will probably ship it to Hungary or something, so there's the cost of that, but your market idea has to be global for that to make sense, but something tells me your idea of the system is everywhere the atmosphere is, so
Most people who truly care about privacy wouldn't use google products at all, including their remote storage or whatever you're using that makes this an inexpensive add-on.
There are plenty of affordable remote storage and vpn services that aren't google that have much better track records on privacy and don't owe $7,000,000 in fines for an antitrust case.

however, the industry realized people were replacing their scratched cd's, so they'd sell 2, 3 of the same disc to the same person. Source: worked at a record store in the hight of the CD age when mini discs were all but essentially snuffed out
