if they were just being pragmatic, I'd understand. But they're frothing at the mouth to evangelize oil, and are busy fellating the oil industry with subsidies while simultaneously placing a moratorium on clean energy development in the province. It's maddening.

separation would require a referendum, which would have 0% chance of passing. nobody wants this, beside some whackos. this is all posturing by the UCP, both to their base and to the federal government.
