I am super excited about Pacific Drive, so I checked it out. It took some tweaking but it does run…ok. Even with all the settings turned down it still only gets 20/30 FPS. Disappointing.

I keep meaning to pick this one up! I’ve got so many games on my wishlist and so little money lol.

This isn’t really an answer, but I managed to find a fully remote job with minimal meetings. I can engage with my coworkers over Teams chat, but most of the time we leave each other alone. I like everyone I work with, but like you I’m not looking for a friendship.
Your example about BoTW is really good. I never played the earlier Zelda games and had near-zero interest in them. Then a friend let me borrow their BoTW cart and I absolutely fell in love with it. Still no interest in playing the earlier ones though.

Fair point. To me my mental health is more important. I make enough for my needs and I am content, and I am very thankful for that and recognize how rare it is. I just love how these articles want to paint everyone with the same brush.
