it is not normal budget by any means. I doubt that the next parts will cost so much. they say there are multiple reasons for that cost, including the pandemic.

From around 10-15 years you can do pretty every possible style imaginable in 3d. It's just studios prefere not to risk. Spide-verse started new wave and we have few movies that going with bolder style but there is only few of those.

Ofc she wanted those money and what's bad in that? There is high chance that there was no approved script when she signed the contract. Just some earli drafts or ideas.

Crappy movie is not her fault for shire but I also don't think she should blame anyone. (It's really obvious that execs are to blame here)

I don't think that Animal Farm should look like another Disney/Pixar/DreamWorks movie. This just doesn't have interesting style that's fit to the story.
