Yep , as additional defence perhaps. Even if autoreboot is enabled , a high risk target could be raided and attempts made before the time limit. Yes sure they should have shorter time limits but memewhy not both.

This is something interesting as well that could be useful perhaps https://github.com/levlesec/lockup would be cool with wipe on attempts to access with forensic tools

Was a while since to tried to do it by removing. but removing stuff is not as good as starting without them. Easiest way is to flash a custom ROM. Then you can add play compatibility with MicroG or playservices isolated by apps or GOS ( if you have the right phone that's it).

You don't need root to run a custom ROM or run MicroG. You might need to root to flash everything depending on your phone , but no need to re enable it afterwards.

Damn , I have a 3a and a 4a I would like to make to permanent dedicated car phones. Would be great if android auto could be ported to the old ones to get some use of them.

I know , not supported and updated , but would make more sense to use an old GOS phone separate from the main phone rather than using the same for everything.

Yea common, I get a lot of those when not using gapps at all. Some possible longshot issue will trigger that message.

I will have to look into it , but all reviews/comparisons I have seen has been always that the Mac beats the others. I do not game , I want audio and some video editing besides code.

Power consumption is a point as well as I am planning on going off the powergrid eventually.

Most are talking about the laptops. I have my eyes on a Mac mini to run asahi on. The biggest downsides with Mac hardware is reperability and upgrades. Some issues the Mac mini doesn't have Vs laptops is ofc is no battery replacement , screen and keyboard webcam, mouse to use. and there are hubs for installing more storage. Ram is ofc a big minus. Looking at m2 16 GB 512 mb. And extend storage with something like this https://www.macworld.com/article/1677460/mac-mini-upgrade-hub-storage-ethernet-sd-card-ports.html 40 Gbs thunderbolt would make it easy to extend storage at least.

As long as it doesn't break I would take this over any alternative minipc . I use my ThinkPad today but 99% of use is at home anyway so no need for portability. Need to wait some time to get the extra funds for it but something like that..
