I am looking into starting my first business, and I am not sure what the best options will be for structuring it. Since it’s my first, it likely will fail and will only be a good learning opportunity, so I am not sure if I should try to register it as an LLC or if I should just set it up as a sole proprietorship. I have several business ideas, so my initial thought was to create an LLC with a generic name, and then “do business as” the name of the website I am creating, and then use the same LLC for future ideas. This would allow me to have a master business email domain I use for each business as well and not have to buy multiple domains. Is this a good idea or do you all have any tips?

If it helps, I’m looking to sell a specific type of merchandise that I’m designing, and if it does work I’d estimate 90% of the sales will come from a Squarespace site I’ll be putting together.
