What does lemmy.world being the biggest have to do with any of this?

This is a spam account; the link leads to gore. DO NOT click it
It's made by @terence@fosstodon.org. I'm sure he'd help if you contacted him on Mastodon (or on any federated platform, for that matter).
I like to compare the EU to an overprotective parent -- on the one hand, they want to protect us from all external threats, but at the same time, they want to know all about us and control us.

I do agree, but there not being a literal soul doesn't mean it cannot be used in a metaphorical sense. Much like you can still talk about choice even if free will isn't real.
It is true that a lot of people don't boost posts unless they have alt text, but if they wouldn't do that, people wouldn't bother to write alt text and it wouldn't make much of a difference for the visually impaired.
It is just so depressing that no one seems to give a shit about them slowly claiming ownership of the entire internet
I wonder the same thing. Would be awesome to have one extension for the entire Fediverse
Well akshually...
...what is measured is the average kinetic energy (mass times speed squared divided by two), so if you multiply by two times the Boltzmann constant divided by the particle's mass and take the square root, yes, you do get the particle speed (assuming all the particles have the same mass and speed, which they don't lol)
nice meme tho
I think this is the wrong take. If we want Lemmy to be truly community-controlled, we need many small servers, as opposed to the current situation of one server controlling half the userbase. Also, which server is Facebook-controlled? Lemmy.world is in the minority by federating with Threads.
