I would just keep it as a symbol of that friendship. Fake or not it will bring you memories of your friend when you see it. I think that's more valuable than the watch itself.

[Question] Is the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 35mm a womans watch? in c/watches@style.land

Most of watches out there are unisex. If the 35mm fits better go for it, it's the same design but a bit smaller. Think of it as clothing sizes.
