AI art is like the speech synthesiser that came with Amiga’s Workbench. Amusing for yourself to make it say swears, but of no interest to anyone else.

In “Mother” there were a couple of Manc women at the back who were either in there to see J Law or thought it’d be a regular horror movie to watch after the pub. They kept reacting to the movie throughout - at first because it was boring, and then with incredulity at what was happening onscreen. They’d only had enough though by the baby cannibalism scene.

Basically, the same cast and crew got to make a Macbeth movie at about the same time, so the studio cut them a deal. Obviously they never promised they’d make a good movie.

Now that crime dramas that are set in a superhero universe are a thing, they should re-release all of Peaky Blinders but with dubbed in dialogue that references Captain Britain and his family, but you still never actually see Captain Britain.

Almost as though making big sweeping policy changes without properly thinking through the consequences can be destructive to society.
