What the actual fuck? Just... what the actual fuck? Imagine the willpower needed to just walk out on the job.

This plan is going to create a generation of such unreasonable people that future generations of Israelis are going to pay a price for.

Small correction: Attacking Israel is only unreasonable if Israel actually wants peace. They don't, and the people who do are decreasing (either leaving Israel, getting brainwashed by state propaganda or dying off) day by day. With modern Israeli politics the way they are, being "unreasonable" is probably the most productive thing Palestinian resistance can do.

Definitely nothing in Arabic AFAIK.

Okay after taking another look at the article it's not even propaganda. The US will let Israel fight Hezbollah with no change in US-Israeli relations. That's the only possible meaning of "let the conflict play out" here. Their reporting isn't misleading in any way.

And in the short run if this is what wins Trump the election, which is not unlikely.

It's propaganda by the US government, not by Reuters. Reuters is accurately reporting the US government's stated position.

I mean it's definitely hilarious.

Inb4 reactionaries use this to pivot on climate change denialism rhetoric with all the subtlety and coherence of whether we're at war with Eastasia.

Can I hire you to write my comments for me? Pay's in thoughts and prayers.

I understand that historically "men" was used to refer to humans in general

Not just historically. It's a literary term, but still a thing.

Other than that, inclusivity is important, but inclusivity theater is just annoying. Literally nothing will change if you change that one word in the constitution.

Men in this use case is already gender neutral.

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 3 points 1 month ago (5 children)

Okay replacing men with persons is just nitpicking, and I don't think it's grammatically correct.

As someone entering their thirties, this is the single most annoying aspect of anime and it's especially blatant in works aimed at teenagers.

I meant an idiot in the sense that kids are idiots. I should've probably used a better word but I was comparing with Paw Patrol for a reason. I was talking about watchability, not quality, and while I definitely agree a lot of anime doesn't respect the intelligence of its audience nearly as much as it should, that's more lowest common denominator stuff rather than assuming everyone watching is a kid below 10 who recently graduated bedtime stories.
