Very cool. I’ll definitely check them out

Not necessarily interesting in buying. If I did it wouldn’t be luxury scale by any means. I just like to explore what they have

I travel often for work and like to check out local watch brands to see what smaller or less popular watchmakers are doing around the world.

At the start of next year I’ll be doing some work in Hamburg and taking some day trips into Berlin for fun. Any watch brands I should keep an eye out for or inquire about in shops? Bonus points if you can give recommendations of boutiques or shops to go to while I’m there.

After a few years of collecting bang-for-your-buck Japanese watches I got my first luxury Swiss watch today. The Rado True Secret Diamonds with open heart and blue dial.

The watch was an engagement present from my fiancé (she got a ring I got a watch). I proposed on our trip to Switzerland and we went shopping for the watch together here. We looked at countless watches but this one really caught our eye. The diamonds and open heart make it a really nice symbol for our engagement and overall it’s just stunning. Instead of just springing for a high end Diver or Chrono we really wanted something unique and this was it.

I hadn’t heard of Rado until now, but after doing my research before buying and looking at their other beautiful designs I’m surprised you don’t hear about them much in the states (we live in NYC). I understand the ceramic isn’t a huge sell but I really love some of their designs. It sounds like they are fairly popular in the east?

Overall I’m really happy with our choice and excited to add it to the collection. What do you think?
