As opposed to Romo who I think has gotten significantly worse as he started to care less, Aikman has gotten so much better now that he cares less. He’s less afraid to criticize QBs who are struggling (even when it’s the star QBs), which in turn makes his praises that much more poignant. That’s not to say it’s super blatant—he is still a media personality, after all—but it’s way more than others, which is nice.
