Is it really that bad? Had manjaro as daily driver for about 4 years and the only time I broke was when I tried dangerous stuff xD. The main argument I keep hearing, is the they had invalid certs on their site. Is there anything else? Back ten it seemed like a great ateway into arch. Not using arch BTW. :-P

Its a 404 to me. But the app is easily findable by searching the name from the URL in f-droid

Did you want to post a link, or are you looking for a Document Scanner with OCR?

Hi folks. Currently thinking of buying a new SBC since my Odroid HC4 died i am looking to buy a new sbc as my home Server. I would be mainly running portainer with the following apps:

  • pihole
  • wallabag
  • conduit
  • revolt ( optional)
  • grocy (optional have to try first )
  • wireguard

The orange pi 5 with 8gb RAM seemed like a good choice, but the 4 or even 3B models are even a bit cheaper. What do you guys think. Should I go for a prior gen or even a different SBC entirely?

There is a really cool looking diy one using a ESP32. You would need a server to go with it though. But using your own small HA server would give you way more control about storage / encryption.

Never heard of it. Looks awesome. I'll give it a try.

Is there a more low power alternative?

My wife gifted me this super cute mini miffy diorama from a gachapon. It uses two 1,5V cells and has a tiny led in it. I would really love to to add a 24h timer. ( it should stay on for 4 hours after turning it on then go to "standby" for 20h before turning back on) Do you guys think an attiny85 is the right thing for the job? Sorry of the question is dumb in any way. I am absolutely not an electronics guy.

Currently looking for a router with the following points

  • sfp ports for fiber connection (we have fiber internet)
  • should be possible to use a wireguard on the router, since would like to use for our smart tv.
  • would like to run some small containers (pihole and maybe some network scanner)

The R3 looks pretty cool specially, since WiFi is built in and there are deals with case and antennas. I don't know of 2gb of RAM would be sufficient to run openwrt + some containers.

The New R4 will have double the RAM, but at least on first glance it looks, like a WiFi extension has to be bought. Also I guess it will me more expensive.

What do you folks think? Should I wait for the R4 or buy one of those package deals including antennas and metal?

Bonus Question: what sfp modules do you use for fiber connection?
