The Rockets announcers aren't even the most homer, but it's his incorrect use of terminology that bugs me.
Specifically on the Dillon Brooks 3pt foul on MPJ, they argue MPJ is really fouling Brooks with a "unnatural shooting motion." First of all it wasn't natural. Everyone who has played basket ball knows that rightys, when pulling up when dribbling to the right, have to swing their body around to shoot. Yet, the announcers continued to babble about "unnatural shooting motion" and "dirty play."
The announcers also misunderstand the rule about an "unnatural shooting motion." The rule is meant to prevent players like CP3 kicking out their leg to create space/ draw a shooting foul. If look at the clip MPJ doesn't kick out his leg in Brook's direction.
Another thing to consider is the creation of contact. The kick out leg foul is usually called on 3pt shooters when they move their leg to create contact with a defenders who's clearly trying to avoid them while closing out. Here Brooks is clearly the one to initiate contact with MPJ.
TLDR; The Rockets announcers suck and are stupid.
Last year the Mavs had a choke like this.
