I think it would be super awkward if you've been widowed.

I mean, you're supposed to meet everyone again, including your former spouses who had been waiting for you.

All good but I'd just like to point something out.

When you boil pasta you're actually hydrating it, and it's a process that occurs above 80C, you don't need water to be boiling savagely.

In fact, it's preferable to let pasta simmer, as full boiling is a bit too "violent" and tends to damage most kinds of pasta.

You know, when some pieces are broken and torn like when it's overcooked? You can avoid that by keeping the temperature low.

Some people in Italy even turn the fire off after the water has started boiling ,as the water is hot enough to cook the pasta and keep it nice and firm.

Nah. People get really pissed when they're REALLY hungry.

We're kept at a perfect balance, we can't afford top shelf stuff, but most people have enough to get by.

Sure, it feels like everyone is a medium-sized misadventure away from financial collapse, but still, we get by. We have Internet, shows to stream, cheap shitty fast food next door.
No one can be bothered to go outside to chop heads demanding to redistribute wealth.

Especially considering that half the population has been talked into believing that by pulling your boot straps you can get as rich as Elon Musk, and Trump is literally Jesus.

There's no revolution incoming, just occasional angry tweets.

I'm with you. Plus, fuck everything about that. Prices are already high, why on earth would I pay from 10% to 20% more on literally everything?

Just no.

Places should pay their employees the right amount, tips just encourage them to dump their expenses onto us.
