Dear Americans, Idiocracy was not meant as a manual.

Warning, all content below is In french :

  • if you like audio adventures, fantasy (and are quite fluent in french) I urge you to try "reflets d'acide". Imagine that your typical D&D session is narrated, with meta jokes and lots of wordplay !
  • Le comptoir Sécu, Which is a periodic review of cyber security news.
  • a list of content creators that you can find in podcasts ( or youtube), pretty politicals : clément victorovitch (rethoric analyst, with a heavy focus on french politics, pretty mainstream but hard leaning left. Mathieu burgalassi ( french journalist focusing on fighting fascism and alt-right, everything he does is heavily sourced and he also did some debates)

That's depressing, I can only imagine what it's like to ponder wether or not to get checked because you can't afford it...

Seconded, can be quite hard to pick up at first, but developing strategies and learning is soooo rewarding

French here. when sick, I use an app to book a appointment to a medical center I have that's like 5 minutes away by foot ( not typical for all french residents but I am quite lucky with where I live). I usually have an appointment in the next 2 to 4 hours tops. Depending on what it is, I walk away with a prescription and certificate for work stating how many sicks days I have. This costs me nothing, appart from the occasional optional medication that is not reimbursed.

Same in France, where it is translated to "pouces"

Still have both smartphone and pc (mostly for gaming). I think in the future we will have only a smartphone that will dock to screens (or maybe glasses) and will be connected to cloud computing for intensive purposes.
