A colleague once "showed off" how impressive Copilot supposedly was. I was like:

  1. Please don't let AI write unit tests. That's the one spot where I really don't need bugs done by automation.
  2. Don't you guys use snippets? I do that shit faster with snippets, macros and knowing my way around neovim.

Not if I think about it for longer than a second. Anti-AI licensing is aimed at corporations. Piracy is done for individuals getting a product.

What's wrong with trying to prevent companies scrape your data? How is that antithetical to piracy?

I just think the yellow paint is so overdone, it kinda pulls me more out of the experience than other "unrealistic" shimmers. It's a bit like the uncanny valley effect.
