I got a nice local shop which was part of a chain but the manager bought out the location and has been doing pretty well.

In my experience the turn lane doesn’t have a hard cutoff like that, you can usually ride the shoulder a bit to get around people if needed

I’ve watched enough airplane accident videos to know that they don’t say over. Also it can result in one side literally not hearing the other side at all

From what I’ve heard if two people talk at the same time they cancel each other out. Plus, neither side can confirm if the other side heard them. I’d think some sort of text based system where you can acknowledge that you received the direction would be better.
