I don't understand how arbitration ever came to be. It completely bypass the court systems, the very court systems that are put in place exactly for the purpose of making these type of decisions.

I use Loop Habit Tracker and it is simple and does just what I need it to do.

“I have no idea who is behind it,” Trump continued on Truth Social...."Anything they do, I wish them luck"

If you don't know anything about them, how/why would you wish them luck?

This is where we could use a browser plug in that uses AI to learn what an ad is and skip it for us. Now we just need someone to start working on it.

Next they will try and stop you from talking about book bans. Then they will try and convince you that there are no such things as book bans ... and so it goes.

Next they will be using your web cam to take pictures of you because ... reasons. Then they will turn on your mic and record so that if you verbalize thoughts that don't make it to your computer screen you can recall those too. Where does it end? I don't want to know.

OpeNoise is one.. it will need calibration but if you weren't concerned about actual dB readings you could use it uncalibrated

I've heard YouTubers say they aren't making as much from their regular videos and that YouTube is pushing shorts. So the Youtubers have started to focus on shorts. I don't like short so I don't watch them.

PC running Linux with games purchased via Steam. Nothing extra to set up as the PC is always on and available anyway,

RSS (RDF Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) It is in use a fair amount, but it is usually buried. Many people don't know it exists and because of that I am afraid it will one day go away.

I find it a great simple way to stay up to date across multiple web sites the way I want to (on my terms, not theirs) By the way, it works on Lemmy to :)

People need to stop thinking about Republicans vs. Democrats and starting think in terms of people vs. the government. We might be able to make positive change if we united.

After installing Firefox 123.0 I ran a Mullvad Connection check https://mullvad.net/en/check and found I had a DNS leak. Turns out that Firefox had changed the settings under "DNS over HTTPS" so that my Mullvad DNS wasn't being used any more. After changing this setting to "off" in Firefox, the Mullvad check passed.

I am notified to comments made on post I've made, but how can I "subscribe" to a post that someone else created? I'd like to be able to easily see additional comments as they are made.

I can kind of do this from my saved posts, but that means going and looking to see if there are any new comments on each of those. That isn't very useful.

Are there shortcut keys for the web version of Lemmy? I was looking for things like, "next page" or inside a thread "go to next high level post", those kind of things? Also like, "collapse all posts" or "expand all".

"All your data are belong to us" - Google

It's a good start.

Just updated to Gnucash 5.2 (via flatpak) and found I can't save the account file anywhere. It appears to be an issue with 5.2. Solution: Turn off file compression in Gnucash (Edit/Preferences/General uncheck 'Compress Files')
