Polls are not Votes. Polls are not subject to the same scrutiny as Votes. Even in regions that have a traditional bias towards one party of the other, there can still (theoretically) be significant statistical differences.

For instance, what if the Mormon women also decided to vote along gender lines; they may informally poll Republican in front of their peers, but may vote Democrat in the privacy of the voting booth.

What if a landslide number of people who have never voted before all vote against the status quo. If they had never voted before, they wouldn’t have been included in any polling.

Whether this is a realistic scenario or not is irrelevant to whether it can be called until at least half the possible votes have been counted in favour of one candidate or the other.

If it isn’t a complete landslide against the Fascists, it will be a loss to democracy.

A lot of not-that-old computers don’t meet the system requirements for Windows 11.

And by “not-that-old” I mean serves the limited purpose it was built for 8 years ago and is still working perfectly fine.

Hardware is lasting longer, users are less demanding.

It depends on the Jurisdiction.

IANAL, but in Australia, the Driver is responsible if any passengers are not wearing their seatbelt.

Same as. Certain family members expect everyone to be on Facebook and also drink all of Zucks Kool-Aid.

I just don’t go to those family events, unless I’m personally invited. If an event only exists of Facebook, it does not exist to me.

I have 2FA apps on my phone for work. I also have the horrendous HR app for applying for Annual Leave. If they insist that I need more work-related apps on my personal phone, I will be getting a second phone and using that exclusively for work. It will be turned off when I walk out the door at the end of the day and kept in my office drawer.

We have a HiSense 60” and have never connected it to any network. It works perfectly as a Dumb Monitor with multiple HDMI inputs and HDCP and HDMI-CEC work perfectly with our AppleTV (HDMI 1) and PS5 (HDMI2) We have TOSLink Optical Audio to an Amp(receiver) and it works almost perfectly, until the Amp chucks a hissy-fit because people forget to turn it off.

The vindictive anarchist in me wants to see what happens when the US crashes and burns, but if Trump gets in it is going to empower the right-wing nut-jobs in other countries too. We will all crash and burn.

Rumour is that the Shahid Drones use Discord as a backend for Command and Control.

We have AppleTVs on every TV in the house and none of the TVs have ever been connected to the home network. Same with the rest of the extended family.

We also have a HDHomeRun in each house for those rare occasions when we want to watch Broadcast TV.

The only time a TV changes from HDMI1 is when someone wants to play PS or XBox.

Maybe ThE aLgOrThMs insistence to put scantily clad women in everyone’s Shorts is just a really bad attempt at a bad Dad Joke.
