Oh, thanks, I didn't realize that about advanced user mode, I'll look into it!

The link says that NoScript is "redundant with uBlock Origin"
I like NoScript because I can click on its icon on the toolbar, and easily select which scripts on a given page to whitelist, or which to whitelist temporarily (until browser quit.) And on any page, I can select which set of scripts (by domain name) on that page to run or whitelist.
With uBlock Origin, it's only "all script on the page" or "no scripts on the page", right?
You can’t remain unlinked to your real identity as seen by the government because you need to provide your id when buying a new SIM
This varies by country. In the US you can buy a prepaid mobile phone with cash and supply it with prepaid cards, all without showing ID:

(but obviously they can figure out who you are by tracking your signal and seeing where you spend your time.)
"Lastly, I’ve intentionally done this work in a way that will, I hope, prove illegible and hostile to summary in media reports"
lel I like the way this person thinks. Did a quick read, is worth re-reading.
I'm pretty sure they were being sarcastic.
It's "enswastification."
Original rude boy ska. The best of all time:
- Desmond Dekker, "007 Shanty Town", 1967
- The Skatalites, "Guns of Navarone", 1965
- Tony Tribe, "Red Red Wine", 1969
BONUS TRACK is it ska or is it rocksteady? either way one of my favorite songs in any genre:
- Toots and the Maytals, "Sun Moon and Stars", 1969
Well, tensions were building, then there was an Incident, now they are trying a reconciliation so there will be a moment of calm. See here for more info: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cycle_of_abuse
Right? I don't understand why people on the fediverse are getting excited about this. At best, Reddit will have admins to insta-wipe anything objectionable. At worst, Reddit will point to the increased engagement as a sign that the protesters gave up and came back.
If they only took money once, that'd be acceptable. But like bullies and addicts, if you give them money once they just keep coming back for more.

In the US you can still get a prepaid mobile without showing ID and pay with cash.
