it's directory, if you refer to it in a cli context and folder if you refer to it in a gui context

I thought you asked about advantages/differences in general.

 

I'm looking for a linux program that can mirror a directory to another drive and move a subdirectory in the mirror.

 

I don't know if this is relevant, but ~~it has to connect to the internet using the phone line~~

Edit: It's connected with a coaxial cable

 

This would likely reduce the flood of redundant posts with question's, which have already been asked before.
