Greek culture is hugely misogynist.

I left a nice hotel in Tashkent because my room was roach infested. I stepped on one with my bare feet in the bathroom and was like, WTF? I didn't have my glasses on, and once I could see what had gone crunch under my foot, I was horrified. The roach was flaming red, too. Like the same color as a redheaded human. The hotel didn't seem to care and wouldn't do anything about it, so I walked out and couldn't get another hotel so I spent the night at the train station outside on a bench.

TL:DR version: there are roaches in Uzbekistan, and they are weird

I never saw that, but I believe you. My cats used to hunt them at night and dump the corpses into their water dish. I'd have to pick up the dish, at as long an arm's length as I possibly could, and dump it out every morning. I remember those roaches being so massive I could see the details of their leg joints from 3 feet away. This was 15 years ago and I am still traumatized.

Also, you'd be walking down the street in Athens, look down, and see roaches strolling along the sidewalk along with you. The light didn't scare them at all.

Don't go to Greece. Their roaches are big enough to beat you up and take your lunch money.
