30 years ago they had to look at their phones? Doesn’t their implant tell them when they think of time?

Not like I’m an expert on the topic lol. But I happened to watch a Nebula video series on Helion’s approach from Real Engineering and I really hope they manage to crack the efficiency barrier. The idea of truck container sized reactor that makes it’s own fuel and produces energy directly from electromagnetic impulses (not from heat via turbines) is almost too good to be true.

TLDR: tokamak type reactor, produced a lot of energy (69 megajujes - nice!) but still net negative.

Wise is great for virtual accounts, prepaid debit card (physical and virtual) and international transfers. Virtual cards can be created for each service/payment and deleted when you need, also used with Apple Pay, etc. You can create “accounts” in any currency with bank account info to receive bank transfers or set up direct debits. I use it for over a decade personally, then their business account for 3 years to accept payments in foreign currency and I’m happy with it.

Erin Schmidt is the one who turned Google into the shitty company that had to remove their “Don’t be evil” policy.

I remember when this scandal came out: https://www.wired.com/2012/05/google-wifi-fcc-investigation/

I watched the press event when Larry Page (obviously not knowing what was going on) promised that they will immediately delete all the sniffed data, then Eric came, took the mic and corrected: “We will delete the data once we receive the court order that forces us to do”.

This was a major disappointment for me after the brilliant Martian and The Egg. I just can’t stand the writing style that’s like someone is describing what happens on a movie screen (Harry Potter is the same). While the tech and the alien were good ideas, almost every single action is predictable like a movie that’s stitched together from cliches until the very end that had a good twist.

I used Ferdi then Ferdium on Mac. No complaints, Ferdium actually works better than Ferdi has. No need to reload a ‘tab’ because of crashed page and it doesn’t forget the Teams account / tenant setups. It’s stable and all notifications work fine.
