We’re looking at the US being an authoritarian state. Trump’s just the first. It might get better after an armed revolution, but would likely end up as more of the same wearing different colors. After all, we won’t have the US to install a pro-democracy leader.

Well yeah, no shit. No developer is going to make programs for a product with such a tiny user base unless they can be paid by the hardware developer.
im curious what having it open sourced will benefit

I can understand how such tech would be valuable for the electronics industry. I wonder if they’d be able to turn lead into copper? Or something else? It’s an interesting thought.
