Addons on HAOS are just Docker containers. When you use HA in Docker you have to just install the addons you like yourself as containers next to HA. It gives you more freedom to change settings for the "addons" when you install them yourself, but it is also a little more work. I think it is still worth it because you can also just install whatever you want. I run a minecraft server for example on the same server.

Bare in mind that whatever you buy, stainless or plastic, the first thing to actually break if you take well care of it that is, is most likely the heat element itself. I don't know of any brand that sells kettles with replaceable heating element but would be nice. Second also remember ergonomics. Steel is heavy and can corrode while a simple sturdy plastic kettle is much lighter and won't corrode.

Fyi Breville is called Sage in the EU

I've been reall happy with the Sage/Breville brand. I have both a blender and a pressure cooker/rice cooker from them and they are really well build. Sturdy and super easy to clean and use.

You never go wrong with Hanwag pure leather boots. They are properly stiched and are designed to have theirs soles changed when woren down. When the leather is well taken care of they are completely waterproof and will actually last you a lifetime.

Damn i just realized that they now also produce goretex shoes. AWOID GORETEX BY ALL COST goretex is essentially a scam and it doesn't work or last. It's a terrible terrible product. My girlfriend and I have had collectively over 10 different pairs of shoes with goretex and none of them were waterproof. Even just wet grass made all of them soaked.

I have experienced that the quality of the classic fjällräven pants have dropped significantly over the past years. I have a pair i bought 2 years ago and already had to repair them 2 times because stitches suddenly broke and the pockets woren through. The belt strops seems to be next in line.

I'd much rather recommend Härkila since they are way more durable. They are ment for hunting and the fabric soft and light but also is super tare resistant and dries really fast if wet.

I added Debian to my mom's new laptop. I cannot rely on windows having a stable desktop environment and interface anymore which is crucial for my mom to be able to use it.

I hate to be a widows advocate but they do keep improving the online version all the time so if you have not tried it in a long while maybe try again to see if some of the issues have been fixed. I feel like it gets better and better every time I (accidentally) open documents in the browser. It's still crap in general but that's more of a general word thing.

SolidWorks, fusion360, codesys (plc programming) and many other enterprise grade software sadly only really work on Windows. They do however work okay through a VM but annoying to deal with.

Games now work surprisingly well on Linux so i have no problems there except Sims4 that my girlfriend plays seems to be windows only when bought through origin gamestore

And dont suggest frecad for cad work. Sadly It's seriously not even close to being competitive.

I used it a lot while developing a Linux program for a raspberry pi with a colleague and was blown away how fun and easy it was to use.... Untill I started daily driving Linux and realised how much stuipd window wsl setup and work I could have skipped by just using Linux directly.... Lol I was missing out. Now I just daily drive Linux and never looking back to wsl
