@tal @Jimbo truly something special back in 09 or whenever it was released. The twist ending and mind screwy real end were super unexpected back then .

Today nothing really to write home about. It's all been done and built on already.

@Sheeple @thorbot I personally love Palworld, it really plays nothing at all like pokemon...

But my kids keep asking 'which pokemon is that! Is that a legendary! Where is Pikachu' whenever they see me play, so it's definitely a little close for comfort.

@lobut @itmightbethew ya, cold take actually turned me on to the escapists as a brand rather than just a ZP fan. Was my favorite show they had.

Precious few #screenshotsaturday left before release on #steam! This whole #indiegame dev journey has been tough. Would we do it again? Yes! But we'd consider more carefully the next project for sure. We probably went to #narrativegame heavy this time for a first #game. And even #pixelart is hard to keep up with when you need alot of it!

@bijuice I recall when achievements were still kinda new and weird a little game called viva pinata. While it was a creative sandbox of sorts, the achievements essentially guided you to get 'everything' the game had to offer, and it ended up being one of the only 'monster catching' games I actually finished completely and loved.

I think that's probably the way to do it. Freedom to do what you want, but a guide to encourage you to do most of it.
