The most special aspect of the Canadian Rockies are the glaciers (while they last) and the gorgeous turquoise lakes and rivers they created. This is the key feature of the Quintessential Rockies. This means you need a car, must do some hikes and cannot see the Rockies in two days. For examples of this see 15 Things to Enjoy between Banff and Lake Louise

 

It’s also a great place to unleash your inner Fossil Hunter at the worlds richest source of dinosaur fossils. BTW, this is Cretaceous Park. Velos and Tyrannosaurus did NOT exist in the Jurassic Period! Here is where they are found!
