I inherited this watch from my grandad; it was his dad's watch he was gifted for 10 years service at "Acrow" in 1983 (it is engraved on the back to this affect). I recently had this serviced and hope to get many years from it. You can see the movement in the photo below. The watch smith told me this is a very well-built and top-quality bit of watchmaking here, comparable to a vintage Omega. Do any of you have any thoughts/knowledge about this watch. I know it is 9 karat gold case and keeps +3 seconds per day with beat error 0.1 (face down). I will treasure this watch for my whole life and gift to my children. I recently put it on a new black leather strap, which has given it a new lease of life.

Hello sir , can you please explain the moon phase, does it actually show the phase of the moon, or just night and day? It seems to much of its circle is in the "new" phase for it to actually work, unless the speed of the dial changes....I hope question makes sense...
