That's weird, was it over usb or something else? I mean it's not very much data to be sent.

Yeah one biiig archive would drown the poor node it is assigned lol.

Got a 1TB dataset sent once, guess it took around 3 days (Netherlands to France) so around 32Mbps. Not bad, not excellent.

I have an external DAC, so I don't need to think about how good music the PC/Raspberry/... produces.

I just bought another (cheap quad core 256GB SSD) thinkcentre as a tinker platform.

So I'm going to add that to my Linux uh setup (of machines).

Or Tenfingers sharing protocol.

GUI in the works...

Encryption, takedown safe, etc.

Is there some way to mirror the original bar? I'd like access to open folders & softs on both.

Thanks again!

Hey it actually works! But it only gives me an empty one 😅

Does Mint let you do that? I was mildly annoyed about having the "bar" only on one screen, I did some looking around but didn't find anything useful.

🙂

Yep, don't need to get a headache from crappy 128bps mp3s.

Also because fuck this rent-music mentality.

Hello all,

I'm playing Knights of pen and paper for the second time, it's a nice time waster IMO (free part is better than the paid one, again IMO).

Last cRPG I really liked was Neverwinter Nights, but it has sure aged a little bit.

Would love a lazy rpg on android or a slightly more story rpg on linux (no graphic card 😅).

Any recommendations?

Thank you all 💖 !

Hello,

Is there a good place to host a little FOSS project elsewhere than github?

I'd especially like an open source community.

Cheers

Hello!

I have some weird problems since I upgraded from 0.18.4 to 0.19.1 (I did it incrementally).

Posts doesnt seem to show up any more, for example if I, on the web (just to illustrate, its the same with Jer oa or Voyager) go here:

https://lemmy.sdf.org/c/permacomputing

I can see a bunch of posts.

But if I go through my server:

https://lemmy.mindoki.com/c/permacomputing@lemmy.sdf.org

There is no pists at all (I have refreshed, waited, reloaded...).

I do see the page of the community on both links though.

Anyone having an idea about what could be wrong? Am I banned everywhere (I have never been to lemmy.sdf.org before and I usually don't behave bad online at all).

I'm asking here because the lemmy.ml and lemmy.world support has tge same problem (??).

Cheers

Inspired by the master :-)

Hello !

On my PC I use a torrent client that's FOSS and that only works if my VPN is running. It's great!

Is there a similar soft for mobile (Android)?

Harr & Cheers!

Hello!

I have my own instance up and running and I'd like to see some content when I hit that "All" filter.

So I thought, I'll just goof around on other instances and sub to nice communities so that their I stance will get added to my server(right? Or is it 'just' the community?).

For example science@beehaw.org, but how do I actually do it? It seems that sometimes it works (on the web?) but on Jerboa, which is if I have got it right the official app.

Tried to search for

science@beehaw.org

beehaw.org

!science@beehaw.org

...

But nothing shows up.

I know I can add instances to my server, but that needs admin rights and of course is a bit cumbersome.

Thank you all!
