Sahar is “super old,” extending his life through genetic augmentation and cryo sleep.

This is a somewhat different take from what I've been thinking - my interpretation of things that have been revealed so far is that he's an unfrozen Augment prisoner in the Khan tradition.

I get it. I'm obsessed with Streamline Moderne, myself.

Retro-futurism at its finest.

Well...retro now.

I'm glad to finally get a hint of a plot, even though it sound pretty much like what I expected it to be.

Sam Richardson's character sounds pretty entertaining based on a single line.

My partner and I (well, her really) have pretty modern taste, and coincidentally own a couple of lamps from the newer shows.

I thought this was a nice palate-cleanser.

The premise is a genre staple, including of course the original "Lower Decks" episode. I particularly enjoyed just how full of bullshit a typical day is for Captain Freeman.

I strongly object!

Pop-Up Video was a VH1 show.

"I left Mr. Brown's campaign completely of my own volition," she said in that statement.

"In no instance was I coerced in any manner, by anyone, at any time. I am an experienced parliamentarian, seasoned communicator, and former cabinet minister who has proven more than capable of developing senior grade positions entirely based on my own read of a situation … to suggest that I'm not is ridiculous."

This is specifically not a denial that interference was attempted.

And this...well...

"Preventing that division is why I've always taken into account the perspectives of many different Canadian interest groups and stakeholders before addressing issues that pertain to diaspora communities," she said.

I had no idea he'd actually auditioned for this role.

Maybe all you have to do is wave a light over it...

I've never been on opiods, so I guess that's not worth discussing, right?

Fair enough - I do think the article makes it clear who the "everyone" is in this case - provincial and federal leadership - but I totally get why you'd bristle at it.

Poilievre's decision not to go through security screening means that no one in the party is in a position to act on the intelligence or challenge its accuracy, said Trudeau.

"The decision by the leader of the Conservative Party to not get those classified briefings means that nobody in his party, not him, nobody in a position of power knows the names of these individuals and can take appropriate action," he said.

"It also means nobody is there to stand up for those individuals if the intelligence is shoddy or incomplete or just allegations from a single source."

With the new poster having dropped, I thought it might be fun to compile the various Lower Decks posters, along with their theatrical poster counterparts. So...why don't we do that?
