I wonder if those would fit - the article says that these "replimat-style" mugs are smaller than the Highwave "Quark's" mugs, but I suppose they could have the same base.

I think the critical weaknesses identified in the article are astute: economically vulnerable/disadvantaged people, and disinformation, especially on social media.

It's interesting that they didn't bother replicating (heh) the rubber base of the originals. Too many added costs, I suppose.

I guess we'll know more after the press conference.

I'm hardly an expert, but I think the Navy is in notoriously bad shape, even by Canadian national defense standards.

Ditto for the last Polaris Music Prize short list.

If you have a helpful resource, such as a compilation of Canadian artists in the past year, let me know and I can edit it into this post.

The list of 2025 Juno nominees would probably be a good (but imperfect) place to start.

Is it? Because we seem to be highly dependent on investagative journalists for that sort of thing.

I would argue that we at least have the right to know who they are. In the case of unions, that's certainly the case.

This is good for unions and other above-board groups, but I can't help but wonder how this affects the various "dark money" lobby groups that have unclear ownership, but have been buying political ads across the country.

or is it just like regulation about what can be transported across provincial lines?

That's a big part of it - this is a decent explainer.

I think this is a transcription of the podcast that was shared here last week.

This game came out in 2021 as an Apple Arcade exclusive, which means I have not played it, and quickly forgot it existed.

It's a mobile game, so adjust your expectations accordingly, but this review caught my eye, as this game apparently has no time gates or microtransactions (or, at least it didn't three years ago).

It apparently came out on Steam in June, and there's a free demo there that I might check out.

Details are weirdly hard to come by, but it looks like it will launch on Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox later this month.

Has anyone played this thing? Is it worth your time and money?

Not your average average Starfleet officer! I'm beaming in to the first season of @StarTrek: Starfleet Academy on @ParamountPlus.
