+1 for steam

I used to pirate my games on linux, but it's harder than on Windows. Steam's gaming on linux experience is perfect, just download the game and hit Play.

Obviously there's a similar tool which is open source cross platform and available for years: https://github.com/dynobo/normcap Just in case sb liked the idea. This doesn't automatically ruh on your computer, if I understood it correctly.

'member when we were able to self host servers of our games? I member. CoD4 was awesome because of that, later the pirated version of MW2 too. These games (the first MW and MW2) are still alive because of that.

That's my goal. When I tried NixOS 3 years ago I didn't had time and there was a lack of documentation to make a .nix for missing packages. Community was... something not very welcoming. I will try again during college break.

Yeah man, Voyager is making millions with the images on the app. It makes me so mad, they Voyager people make you think they are generating content on their own, but in reality is just feeding you unlicensed content from others.

Thanks for the tests. They make the information more reliable since I had extensions turned on.

Yeah but it's more complicated than that. Do you think the average user that for some reason uses Firefox will try to find out why his Google page isn't working? Last year Google was fined €2.5b due to unfair competition. This is not the first time, Google probably makes a lot of people switch doing these things. The top post of Lemmy is about Google turning itself into spyware and this just shows just how thats accurate.

Today, I noticed that Google wasn't loading on Mull (Firefox Fork). Switching useragent with the extension Chameleon makes the page load again.

I got an invite to Blue Sky and realized why fediverse is great. Blue Sky already has the annoying kind of people that are on Twitter. We had those in fediverse, but they were all in some instances. Unfederated them and we are good. I don't think the objective here is to get big as reddit, twitter, etc. I feel so much better having a small community that interacts with me and makes sense to me. It would be great having more people in fediverse as well, but the amount now is fine for me.

I am in the same position too. I mean, the appeal is having a config to redo everything if something goes wrong. Unlikely a debian/arch machines that I setup that I had no idea how I got there and what I can or can't install/uninstall, lmao.

I have noticed that I interact a lot more in Lemmy than I ever did in any social media. Let it be Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter... I am used to be the lurker, but here for some reason things are different. Wonder if more people feel like I do.
