So, it isn't the exact same situation, but just as a reminder: von Papen, the conservative guy who ultimately put Hitler into power, initially thought he'd be savvy and cede only "not that important" posts to Hitler and the NSDAP. After all, a silly, comically insane upstart like Hitler would be easily outmanoeuvred by knowing the law and how statecraft works, right?

Well, the Nazis just used those posts in illegal ways, overstepped their official authority and refused to report to von Papen at all (whom they should at that point have been subservient to) - knowing full well no one was going to stop them anyway. Shortly thereafter, von Papen was out and Hitler was chancellor.

Von Papen managed to live until 1969, and wrote an autobiography that was derided by historians for having a terribly naive lack of understanding politics, lack of principles and being full of vanity.

For the games I ~~did~~ made, before I had to do a life restructuring and put that stuff on hiatus, I always went with something.x86_64 - I have no idea when and where I got that idea, but I know I copied that format from somewhere.

If you are German-speaking, your main instance of interest for communities will probably be feddit.org with the main community being !dach@feddit.org (and inofficially !ich_iel@feddit.org) - check it out if you haven't yet

EDIT: Hello there, person in the future - I completely forgot about !main@feddit.org - the "landing page" community.

You were there when the ancient texts were written, but remember, some of us were there when the alphabet was conceived.

Those are cute and great! The left-right-L one actually had me chuckle to myself, that's high praise on the internet.

Nice to see! Baby steps and all that. Getting RISC-V to a consumer-level state is still a pretty gargantuan task that has a lot of catch-up to do, but it's walking along its path steadily.

Are the people I normally watch on YouTube unable to be seen on peertube?

Basically this. There are some creators that either switched or publish on both platforms, mainly from the Linux sphere (and, unfortunately, also some crackpots and/or scammers who got kicked from other platforms), but overall, it doesn't have a lot of content, especially content that's on a "professional" level.

Oh, so you meant, get out of the country, not, you know.... I interpreted "getting out of the timeline" differently. A lot darker, I guess.

Now, if you can get out of the country, that might indeed be the best option with things as they are. But that won't be an option for everyone. So either way, organising and staying strong is still important.

this is the dark timeline folks…

get out while you still can.

To quote a fictional revolutionary poet: In the dark times, should the stars also go out?

Yupp, have the same general problem. Although maybe not fitting to the stereotype of men and masculinity, I am also basically incapable of getting angry. The only responses I have to stress are shutdown and fawning, I think it (partially) stems from a combination of mostly absent father and an overwhelmed mother with a lot of unresolved mental health issues, that sadly wasn't able to properly handle children being normal children, lots of essentialist sentences about me being horrible still floating in my head from that childhood.

What helps me with anger is aggressive-depressive music. While that channels it just as a primal feeling, it's also a good stimming time. Crying is harder, though, although I had moments - some years back I was able to cry for over an hour while with my best friend, that really was a watershed moment in my life, but it unfortunately did not just make the underlying problems and blockade go away.

Other things that sometimes manage to tease anger and tears out of me is watching some true crime shit, or stuff like holocaust documentaries. Getting angry and disturbed for someone else comes a lot easier for me, but even there, the wall is high to climb.

Treat my answer as what it is - hearsay - but the way I remember reading about it being explained, there is indeed sign-language poetry, and gestures having similar or complimentary movements were considered rhyming, which I guess also makes intuitive sense.
