TIL about blindsight, a phenomenon by which visually blind people can apparently see or detect objects without using their visual cortex in c/til@lemmy.world

I think that this is pretty cool i didn’t know anything about it either. The brain is pretty amazing.

I tried to make an electromagnet at home but when I connect the two copper wires to a 1.5V battery it keeps short circuiting and heating up. Also it doesn't attract other nails. in c/askelectronics@discuss.tchncs.de
