Okay because I voted early in person and the only think I signed was the sleeve/ envelope that the ballot went in so I wouldn’t think they could find out

Same here. I have to think tho if they really wanted to could the find out who we voted for or does it just check you that voted and your ballot gets mixed in with everyone else’s?

Out of curiosity, what things are you stocking up on?

Exactly. These “Christians” are hypocrites. I’ll probably be down voted I don’t care. I haven’t hid my faith, I’m a Christian, yet progressive and these people are hiding their own desires behind a religion. It happens with all religions for sure, we just see it with Christianity predominantly here in the US. This verse is saying their reward is that others see them praying and that’s it. God isn’t rewarding them. The next verse teaches us we should pray in private and God rewards those people.

Also we just talked about Timothy 2 and our pastor made a good point the word for quiet was used in a previous verse Tim 2:2 that meant peaceful, quiet/calm life’s. Timothy calls out men and women. It doesn’t mean muzzled. Women of the time were dressing in such a way to bring attention to them at church instead of the teachings.

You’re telling me. I just started a small construction company on the side and have to do it uninsured because it cost at a minimum $4,000 a year just for liability. Seems ridiculous

Edit: I’m in Iowa too so clearly away from any possible large disasters. I know liability insurance is different from homeowners but I think it having a large effect on insurance as a whole. Also when the derecho went though Iowa, everyone and their brother apparently became a contractor and collected insurance money and that ruined it for a lot of other people.
