Lies like this is part of the reason.

• Not an invasion of privacy.

• Activating a sprinkler would be a better deterrent than sending an alert to Simon.

Why would it be anything else?

It's clearly too low a number to be °K. And since the only two valid units of measurement for temperature are Kelvin and Celsius, it must be °C.

It can be that. But it is also a medium for public forums.

Chill.

And don't think you can convince me that elephants are real.

Well, I hope some will question the validity of this particular claim after reading my comment. Many more will probably question it after reading the comments, from others, that have found the measurements to likely be recorded incorrectly.

If someone made an accusation of pollution with a substance I could see them using or producing, I would be more inclined to believe it.

Human medieval times? No, don't be silly.

Horse medieval times? Now, that's another thing. Irrespective of whether they work or not, the horses I've spoken to are generally convinced they have entered the renaissance.

Worker's rights transgressions? Yes. Bulldozing a frog pond? Yes. Dumping mercury? No, that makes no sense. I can't see where mercury would be introduced in any meaningful quantities.

There's a good chance you are mistaken. It was not specified which type of mile they are referencing.

The only sensible mile to use would be the Scandinavian mile (10.000m). = 6000km range.

Another possibility is the nautical mile (1852m). = 1.111,2km range.

And there are plenty of other "miles" to choose from.

Steve does go on, and on, and on, and on... Quite challenging, if you have a tight deadline.

Trans women are women. And I will continue to treat them as such. But if we do not discriminate within competitive sports, most disciplines will be for men only. Because sexual dimorphism. Not good. So we have a league for women, that let most women compete for their medals and titles independent of the mens' results. Much better. Not perfect, better. Are there enough for a third category? A fourth? Life sucks.

But you don't have to care about winning over others. You can get on your bike and compete against your previous times. And you will probably do so in mixed company. In casual races, all competitors are often despatched together.

Or if you really want to compete, even though you don't fit into the boxes neatly, try equestrian sports. The boxes are much roomier. The saddles are also much more comfortable, and your sex and gender does not matter.

The UCI's stance on trans women is not transphobic. In line with other sporting federations, they have found that going through male puberty gives a person who transition afterwards an advantage over cis women. So, they have decided to have prioritise the fairness of competition. There are plenty of valid reasons for criticising the UCI, but this is not one.
