I miss some of the bots. Remember-Me or Haiku-Bot have been my favourite ones.
I am a little afraid when those ignorant tools flood Lemmy. But maybe there will public block lists for all the bots, actors and idiots.
It's about visual range. Cameras have a value for "max brightness" and "min brightness", facial recognition further narrows that range, where it can work.
The IR LEDs utilize this limited range to "blow out" the pixels in their area with "white/max" informations, overwriting facial info. So you must wear the IR Leds in your face or close by.
That camera may not have an IR filter, and the fidelity hasnto be low... both factors are not present in modern Ai optimized cameras (global shutter, min. 16 bit grayscale brightness only not 16bit divided on RGB, Filters etc.)
You are better off painting your face or printing faces on your clothes.

The biological aspect may be true if you take only the body. If you take the head (psyche), it would fuck you up seriously to switch families every 10 years, additionally you need to be available for older children too ( and you will propably do this once probably, before you grow old and tired and just want to cuddle with someone you know instead of sex with someone you barely do...)

To spice things up, imagine them as Russian immigrants, completely immersed in the alt reality via direct Sattelite TV feed into their Living Rooms 24/7. There are people in Germany who are scared to death because despite living amongst us, believing the lies their TV tells them.
(E.g. Russo phobia in Germany, Gangs target Russians, Police helps or shit like that... Fox news but X10 turbo alpha beat down edition)
When our health system breaks, those people are ripe with medical issues our system can't afford any more at that time.
If they willingly want to eat themselves to death by switching to ~~cheap shitty 2.50€ Aldi Hack Halb und Halb~~-protein only diet and avoiding vaccinations... and if a triage decision is needed, they will probably loose.
I don't want to imply anything, but a healthy lifestyle is the first row of defence against a short life in pain, especially considering our European future.
