Information wants to be fast and free. Corporations want information paywalled. It’s a fact that streaming is faster and more convenient than downloading and storing. Until we live in a society where anything is accessible to anyone at any time… both methods will need to exist, otherwise information will be lost.

I just want to start off by saying Arrrr, I’m on your side.
But I just don’t follow the logic. Netflix is selling both service and content. When people pay for Netflix… yes they pay for infrastructure related to streaming content. They also pay toward the cost of producing original content and acquiring licenses.
Orcs Must Die was one of the last series that my friend and I played in co-op. We went from League (burn out) to recapturing some true gaming magic thanks to these games. I don’t play multiplayer these days but thanks for reminding me to give the 3rd entry a solo try.
Do the Persona games have to be played in order? Or can I just pick up any one of them that’s available on PlayStation?
Don’t let stuff like this tarnish your memories please. Many of the clothes we wear, food we eat, and products we purchase most likely involved some form of injustice during production or shipping.
It’s not your fault that you were born into a broken system. You found joy in spending time playing with your mom. There is absolutely nothing more innocent than that! Try to be a decent person in your local community and don’t internalize this kind of news too much. Anything else is guaranteed to be a recipe for a miserable life.
This story has essentially caused a 20% off coupon for Assassin’s Creed Mirage to circulate my lemmy feed for the past 2 days. I am a chubby man with a weak heart that hungers for these types of comfort food games and this subliminal advertising is hard for me to resist.
I’ve had the same thought before but then I don’t want to become one of those older out of touch people. I think each generation feels like the world was in better shape when they were younger. But the truth is that many of the young kids today will look back on 2023 with the same fondness and nostalgia as I do when I think about the 1990s. Back in the day older people would warn us that video games and television would rot our brains. Now we warn our kids that TikTok will do the same. Everything is always getting faster and faster but young people are adaptable and I think they’ll find their way.
I googled it and the last game released on the Xbox 360 was Just Dance 2019. Not as long ago as I would have thought!
I just watched the trailer and downloaded the demo. Excited to give it a try. The art style looks very unique and gameplay reminded me of an old Xbox game called Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. Speaking of which I never even owned that game but sunk hundreds of hours into the demo lol.
