Than what are the minimal specs to run ollama (llama3 8b or preferably 27b) at a decent speed?

I have an old pc that now runs my plex and arr suite. Was thinking of upgrading it a bit and running ollama on it as well. It doesn't have a gpu, so what else does it need? I don't have a big budget, so no new nvidia card for me.

I get it. But it is not "you don't like it", that's obviously just your interpretation of how I must think. It is simply the notion that, indeed, it happens a lot lately. Seems to be tied to the current radicalization of politics.

I do suppose there is dogwhistles on all sides. Left, right, racists, nazis, communist and all other radical groups. But i primarily hear it about nazis and racists. That made me think it was something tied to racists and nazis. Maybe that is just because racists and nazis are in the centre of attention a lot these days.

If it's not a statement than what is it, a poem in disquise? If it's wrong doesn't make it a non-statement.

Not the entire "first world" has universal health care. The Netherlands for example has only 62% UFC. Which is fairly managable in paractice, with proper regulations and support for thos ewho can't pay the €120 obligatory monthly insurance fee, but obviously it's complete bullshit.

At my old work (a trucking company) we had a photo in the cafeteria that a colleague made in Africa during their holiday there. The picture shows a truck with our company's logo still vaguely but unmistakingly visible on the door panels somewhere in rural Africa, Morocco I think. I think that's pretty awesome.

The retirement plan goes for rich countries too. But different. With elder care going the way it's going, you'd be happy to get someone to help you shower once per month. Children can help you with a lot once you're old and fragile.

I'd rather they buy a clock, so they can ride on time. (Their trains are actually not that bad in my area, during rush hours. In the evnings, they only ride every half hour, which sucks. Also the trains don't have wifi.)
