There are plenty of episodes not rooted in contemporary politics. I I’d gather to say that a lot of the ones you’re thinking of weren’t politics but current events. But they’re point is that the peak South Park eps are timeless. Ex. Imaginationland.

Age. There were episodes in season 7-13 that wouldn’t let me breath. The samari episode, Jesus.
This is traumatic. I was like 14 and trying to convince my mom that south park was ok for me to watch. We’re in a hotel room, and I flip it on. THIS WAS THE RERUN FOR THAT NIGHT!
