I used to use SmartThings up until the announcement killing off WebCORE. I well fully into Home Assistant using Zigbee and ZWave both. HIGHLY recommend it, though there is work to set it up.

I use quite a bit of NodeRed as well for some of my more complex automations, and use the native HA automations for things like button mappings or simple scripts.

Did something change recently with Home Assistant and Node Red? I upgraded and suddenly 20+ issues with messages like “Entity ID ‘switch.main_lights’ should be in the data.property, not the target property”

Lots of his stories feel like he got bored, and just wrapped it all up without much actual closure. Feels very rushed. Under the Dome was a clear example of this for me.

It’s easier for me to control my Sonos devices through Home Assistant and dashboards I’ve created, rather than using the Sonos app itself. It’s like they hired some McKinsey consultants to make the app as useless as it can be.

I started to play around with WLED and integrated a whole mess of LED lights to HA. I’d also recommend ESPHome so you can build your own devices. Voice control, water flow rate sensors, etc.

PiHole, Plex and the related “*arr” apps. I also self-host my home automation platform (Home Assistant).

Then again look what happened to ISIS when the rest of the world finally stepped in for real. While it’s not completely wiped out, ISIS is FAR from where it was at their peak power.

Reason number %large_number% + 1 why support for Ukraine cannot falter. Russia cannot win its offensive there and continue to spread its poison across the world.

Hence one of the miriad of reasons why immigration is such a good policy for a country. Attract younger skilled workers who directly contribute to the economy.

And yet, this all powerful government couldn’t even fake finding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to “validate” their invasion reasons.

The solution should be to jail all the owners and executives, force a sale of the company and set an example for anyone else who thinks about doing the same thing.

I looked through each of your examples and, unless I missed something, none of those cases involved a minor getting the parents insecure gun. First one was a theft from a gun store, the second doesn’t state any details on where the gun came from, and the last one was a gun stolen from police.

My comments re: parents being responsible is for cases that the parents’ gun is taken by the minor and used in a crime, not any gun crime committed by a minor.

Again, if I missed something, please let me know.

Is there an easy way to search within a community from the community itself? (Similar to how Apollo had a search box at the top of the community post list)

I couldn’t see it unless I completely overlooked something.
