Less functional than leg warmers though. Leg warmers were for athletes, especially dancers, to keep their lower legs warm between their slot for warmup and a performance. They always came off for the actual event.

Socks have the benefit of keeping your feet warm too, but you can’t pull them off quickly over your shoes.

Track pants are for essentially the same thing for track and field events (and later for basketball) - a covering to keep you warm while you’re inactive that can be quickly removed once you’re ready to move.

Depends? If you want it to keep its size, softness and insulative properties, yes — wash by hand and hang to dry. But being wool, it binds to oils well, including body oils.

Even if all the Democrats quietly left the country, MAGA policies could lead to civil war.

That’s a tradition, not a law.

I’m not sure how much age has to do with it; Boomers have shown they’re just as willing to give up their privacy if it makes things more convenient for them.

It’s true that the people born after the advent of loot boxes have never known real privacy or ownership, but I know that I raised my kids to know the value of both. There’s a phrase in my house: “always read the contract.” If the contract doesn’t seem balanced, it’s expected to modify it. If the other party rejects the modifications, it’s fine to reject their terms and do something else.

Just because someone says you have to agree to a contract doesn’t mean you do. And that often opens up options for ownership that you’d otherwise miss.

When it comes right down to it, that’s the difference between the Republican platform and the Democratic platform — Democrats say “here’s a bunch of options, please inform yourself and rank these according to what you think is best, and we’ll do what the majority wants” and Republicans say “all these rules and regulations are too confusing for you. Vote for us and we’ll get rid of the confusing stuff and make all the decisions in black and white terms so you can get back to living your life.”

That’s the real reason why Republicans did so well this time around.

Why were the other citizens not eligible to vote? Smells of disenfranchisement unless there are way more minors than I thought.

This is not completely normal anywhere but in the US. The US has atrocious voter turnout, for a wide number of reasons, most of them intentional.

What type of weather are you running in? In my area it gets just below freezing in the winter, and I run with a full length compression shirt, then a technical running tee, then a fleece jacket. Works in wind, rain and snow between around 12c and -4c. Leggings and head/face covering are also often needed.

Biggest thing for me is really socks and runners; socks are wicking insulated running socks with an ankle, shoes have GoreTex uppers to keep my feet warm and dry.

Something to also take into consideration is how hard you’re pushing/sweating.

Merino wool will definitely work as a mid layer, but you’ll likely overheat pretty quickly, and it’s hard to get the sweat out.

There won’t be a second Hitler; this time around those with the strings of power will be careful to always have a disposable salesman in the official seat of power.

Next up: Trump strongly suggests that all senators dance the Macarena while in session.

Trump appoints a slate of recess appointments. Senate comes back from recess, and holds a year-long session. Trump removes all his appointments. Senate starts a new session and immediately calls a recess. Trump re-appoints all his previous appointments that survived the year, and appoints new sycophants to the vacant positions. Senate resumes.

Rinse, wash, repeat.
