To me it always seemed like Linus Torvalds is mostly a pragmatist.

Richard M Stallman on the other hand...

So if I tell someone else to draw something, who gets the copyright?

It is also problematic that you can send keypresses to the other person, especially since she was only using the receiver for a mouse.

If one person rents out 4 appartments, that means that at least 4 others do not own their home. It's the same with houses of course.

Germany is just a particularly bad example unfortunately. Low ownership is a problem because it increases wealth inequality, which is also worse in Germany than many other nations.

No, maybe you are in a more wealthy environment. It is not possible that everyone has multiple flats to rent out. In fact, Germany has one of the lowest ownership rates.

Both pictures are equally overcrowded though. And just getting rid of people is not really an option.

When you buy something you do not have to think whether the developer deserves it or not, especially for software where producing more copies is free. You decide whether it is worth it for you.

When you donate, you think about whether someone deserves it and who deserves your money most.
