Russia is a much bigger problem for Europe than for the US.

Europeans are finally increasing their defense spending. Asking them nicely for the last decade didn’t work.

Because the Danish administration 20 or 100 years from now could easily change their mind. For safety, you want to have full control.

There are already hundreds of thousands of Palestinian casualties from the Israeli genocide. Israel has been committing war crimes long before Hamas was even created.

If Europe is allowing Israel to illegally annex sovereign territories, why not allow the US to do the same?

Most of NATO’s coordination is done by the U.S. it would be difficult for the other countries to organize themselves with a U.S. veto.

Besides, I doubt any country is crazy enough to attack the U.S.
