Inside the 90s anime Martian Successor Nadesico, there is a 70s-era anime called Gekiganger III. Characters various levels of knowledgeable about, or fans of, the show. A single OVA episode was released in addition to the clips from within Nadesico.
I'm sorry to hear that, but I take some solace and knowing that Elon had minimal input with the original vehicles, and they were modeled after something that was designed by other companies.
Considering most anime is low effort schlock that contains episodic plots that get nowhere (and even linear narratives tend to progress at the speed of molasses), if somebody tells me they "like anime" without elaborating, I think less of them then if they told me they "like music."
I'd say Tesla in general became a disappointment. The Cybertruck was just the blister on top.
It's not difficult to hold two ideas simultaneously:
X is important (because people decided to make it that way)
X shouldn't be important (and wouldn't be, if people hadn't made it that way)

Really? I don't like fantasy much, didn't know anything about the former stuff going in, and ended up liking it despite the disjointed nature of the first episode.
Doing two timelines in parallel was... A narrative choice... But once I got my bearings it was plenty good.
