Kids. It's kids spending their allowance. Source: had to clamp down and say no more robux.
And probably also streamers who aren't spending their own money (donations and referrals probably) who make the problem worse by making it seem like everyone else has these pointless cosmetics.

Honestly this kind of thing is a junior engineer's week or two. Switching up icon sets is simple, and has value for users who will more easily understand what's going on if it's using icons they already recognize.

Weird take considering all these features were once part of an upgrade.
It's the business model of build or buy trust and then exploit it until you're loaded and your former customers all hate you. But you're loaded.
